Doing Well, Renfrewshire Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) offers a primary care service for people with common mental health problems. Our service is provided by healthcare workers offering treatment, information, advice and support.

RAMH promotes recovery from mental ill health, and empowers people to build independent, fulfilled lives. We offer a range of free, confidential services which provide:

· One to one counselling sessions with a qualified counsellor
· Employability support to help individuals gain or maintain employment and/or volunteering opportunities

FIRST Crisis is our out of hours crisis service which provides a short term support to anyone in Renfrewshire aged 16 or over who is experiencing a crisis in their mental health. The Wynd Centre has operated a successful and professional counselling service for over twenty years. Staffed by volunteers who are either qualified counsellors or counsellors in training, we offer counselling for anyone in need of assistance. We offer counselling to adults, teenagers and have a ‘Child Play Therapy’ scheme for younger children in need of assistance

Local service providing one stop shop for support for carers. A carer is someone who provides unpaid help to family or friends who could not manage without it. You could be caring for a relative, partner, or a friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has a mental health or substance misuse problem, and they may or may not live the same house as you. We provide information and advice, a break from caring, training, advocacy & emotional support.

Substance misuse

Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service provides a range of treatment and care options for individuals who are affected by their own or someone else's alcohol and/or drug use. These services include:
· Alcohol, support and treatment including detoxification and protective medications

· Support for a range of social issues
· Support for family members affected by alcohol and/or drugs
· Harm reduction advice and interventions

Out of hours and emergency support
If you're feeling distressed, in a state of despair, suicidal or in need of emotional support you can phone NHS 24 on 111.
When you phone 111 and choose the mental health option, you’ll be connected to our team of psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWPs). These are specially trained advisors who work in mental health.
PWPs can offer advice on coping with mental health symptoms. They can also recommend and connect you with other services if needed. PWPs can access a range of both NHS and charity organisations to find the right support for you.
People phone 111 for a lot of different reasons. The most common reasons include: thinking about suicide, anxiety, low mood, depression, psychosis &self-harm.
You’ll speak to one of our PWPs, and there are also mental health nurses available.If an immediate clinical response is needed, you might be referred to A&E or the emergency services. If you use a textphone you can contact NHS 24 on 18001 111 or you can use the Relay UK app.
